Introduction Classes
We meet on the first Saturday of the month, although this can change due to Public Holidays.
We endeavor to have workshops to introduce you to the skills needed every year. These are run, either on their own, or at the same time as an Intermediate and Advanced class. Usually the teaching class starts at 9.30 am and continues until lunchtime. If a workshop is longer than 3 hours, it will be advertised on the website. Bring your lunch along and stay on a bit longer. After lunch you are encouraged to stay and practise your brush strokes, or borrow some techniques of painting books, or watch and chat to other members.
There is a door fee of $5 payable every month; this covers the morning tea cuppa and biscuit, and supports the room rental. When you become a member, you will be eligible to enter the draw for a $10 voucher which can be used to reduce a class cost. All classes also have fees attached to support the cost of paint as we do not expect beginners to spend up large on buying their paints. See the "Workshop Payment" page for details
